New York City & Philadelphia

About This Trek...

During urban hikes, students spend the day in a U.S. city walking, visiting historical sites, and engaging with residents to learn more about the area's culture and history.

Core Values

Outdoor Adventures

Trekkers learn the enjoyment of hiking in an urban area through climbing the stairs of tall buildings, riding the subway or a ferry, visiting museums, and simply walking the city streets.

Historical Perspectives

Students visit museums, monuments, and other important city sites to learn about various historical topics. One goal of these visits is to instill in youth an appreciation for our ancestors and an understanding of the importance of their history.

Community Service

During one urban hike, students participate in a community service project where they donate food and other necessities to homeless individuals they encounter in the city.
